Upper Eastside Orthodontists strives to accept as many dental benefit plans as possible. We encourage you to contact us prior to treatment to determine our relationship with your carrier. We always, as a courtesy, check your coverage, and submit claims to your dental benefits plan. Patients are responsible for any balance left unpaid by a benefits plan. You may be asked to pay for covered costs upfront and seek reimbursement from your dental benefits plan.
Many employers offer dental insurance as a benefit to their employees. You may also be able to locate and pay for a policy on your own. Our dental office is not a party to the contract you or your employer have with the benefits plan. Coverage inclusions and exclusions, as well as dollar amounts paid, can change frequently. It’s up to you to understand your coverage before your child receives any services at our pediatric dental office.
Health Savings Accounts
A health savings account (HSA) allows you to set aside money tax-free to pay for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses, including dental care. If your employer doesn’t offer HSA account administration as a benefit, check with your bank to see about setting up an account. This allows you to use a debit card to pay for healthcare expenses on the spot.
Payment Expected at the Time of Service
After your appointment, our receptionist will provide you with a statement that breaks down all fees, as well as the amounts you owe. We always provide you with the cost of treatment in advance so you can make an informed decision about whether it fits into your family’s budget. For your convenience, Upper Eastside Orthodontists accepts cash, checks, and several major credit cards.
